We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our kitchen team for Social Dining at Verandah Precinct. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our Head Chef to drive culinary excellence and innovation in the kitchen.

Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing the preparation and cooking of high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all dishes are presented correctly and consistently, as well as receiving, recording and accounting for supplies and deliveries.

  • Culinary expertise: Proven experience in restaurant kitchen management and extensive knowledge of commercial cookery practices.
  • Leadership skills: Ability to motivate and lead a team of chefs towards achieving exceptional results.
  • Menu planning: Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative menus and improve existing ones.
  • Food safety and quality: Maintain strict adherence to HACCP protocols and ensure compliance with Australian food & safety health standards.
