About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Industrial Portfolio Manager to join Metcash. This role will involve managing a lease portfolio of head leases and subleases across our industrial, retail and commercial sites in Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory and Victoria.

In this Role

  • Ensure compliance of all contractual obligations, including payments, critical dates, rent reviews;
  • Optimise net income performance by implementing cost management strategies;
  • Manage lease renewals and market rent reviews;
  • Develop and manage multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships, and leverage existing networking contacts;
  • Identify and communicate competition activity to relevant steering committees;
  • Ensure lease documents are completed in line with business precedents and commercial guardrails.

You're Likely a Match If

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in property management, with experience in commercial, industrial or retail leases highly regarded;
  • Effective stakeholder and relationship management skills;
  • Strong skills in general lease interpretation;
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills;
  • A results-focused approach with strong commercial acumen;
  • Qualifications in Property, Estate Management or a related discipline;
  • Knowledge of Retail Leases Act.
