Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Claims Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Emergency Services portfolios, you will play a vital role in assisting injured workers return to employment.
As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims, focusing on physical and psychological based injuries. You will build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, doctors, and rehabilitation providers, to ensure timely and safe return to work outcomes.
Your Responsibilities- Manage a full portfolio of workers compensation claims, implementing active and timely strategies to improve recovery and return to work outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with Injury Management Specialists to develop and implement plans to assist injured workers' return to work journey.
- Hold an Allied Health background with experience in customer service, preferably in a claims management or injury recovery setting.
- Be able to work well within a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a passion for helping people and be able to handle challenging conversations.
- Be proactive, self-motivated, and able to think creatively when engaging with stakeholders.
- Be empathetic, resilient, and able to work well under pressure.
- Have experience managing, negotiating, and influencing positive outcomes.
