The Insurance for NSW Scheme provides a range of insurance cover and services for participating Government agencies such as NSW Police, Fire & Rescue NSW and Department of Health.
This will be full-time permanent position based in the Tweed office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with the applicable legislation
- Reviewing and providing feedback about current claims management practices and procedures ensuring emerging trends are identified and managed
- Develop Injury Management Plans and implement strategies including leveraging relevant resources required in managing claim scenarios
- Provide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding claims management strategy and treatment approvals
- In conjunction with the Team Leader identify, develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measures
- Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
ABOUT YOU
- Strong technical experience within the workers compensation scheme
- Experience in the Workers Compensation industry managing claims within all or most claims management segments
- Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
- Experience in coaching and supporting others
- Understanding of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW), the Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW), Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Bill 2012, and the associated regulations and guidelines
