Technical Field Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Field Service Specialist to join our team.

As a Technical Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting complex instrumentation across various pathology customers in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

The ideal candidate will have equivalent industry experience, preferably within the pathology diagnostics industry, as well as tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and self-motivated are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical service and support to customers, troubleshooting and repairing complex instrumentation
  • Perform preventative maintenance to improve instrument reliability
  • Collaborate with Regional Service Managers to ensure effective first-time fix rates
Requirements:
  • Equivalent of 3 years of industry experience in service, technical support, or plant maintenance
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Travel and Licensing:
  • Ability to travel about 30% with overnight requirements within VIC, TAS, SA, WA, and NT
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Desirable:
  • Electrical or restricted license would be an advantage
