An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Field Specialist to join Service Stream in our Clayton, VIC office
About the Role

Service Stream's Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Field Specialist to join our growing company. You will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of NBN ODM design & construction projects, performing site assessment & survey, leading a team of sub-contractors and proactively managing survey and construction orders to ensure you are delivering to key dates.

Nature of position: Fixed Term, 12 months

Location: Clayton, VIC

Reporting Line: Senior Field Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Perform site assessments & survey & compile deliverables required for a detailed design to be built- Manage a large portfolio of projects and pro-actively schedule in survey & construction activities to meet commitment dates- Review and understand construction designs and build to the correct specifications- Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with relevant HS&E policies and procedures- Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub
- contractors including management of sub-contractor compliance- Liaise with and make all arrangements with Public Authorities for provision of services to the network and working in public areas.- Arrange reports to management and the customer on the status of work- Ensure contractors meet operational & KPI targets and issues are resolved within the agreed timeframes

About You

To be successful in this role, you are a natural relationship-builder and effective at multitasking. You will also demonstrate and possess the following:
- Proven experience in working within the external plant network- Experience leading teams of sub-contractors & managing a large portfolio of projects- Experience in ODM Business installations and site assessment- Strong understanding and knowledge in Civil construction, cable hauling and NBN Fibre- Pre-Provisioning experience - HFC, FTTN, FTTC, FTTP- Previous experience managing operational performance & targets- Strong Excel skills- Flexible approach and well-developed contract management skills- Strong client focus and ability to negotiate with the client
