The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in managing and growing established accounts in the nominated territory while expanding Visy's footprint through prospecting and new business development activity. You will work collaboratively with the wider sales team and other key stakeholders to nurture existing customer relationships and build new ones.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Business Development Manager to join our team. You will have a history of B2B sales and must be able to demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, motivation, and reliability. Your strong customer service values are essential, and an eye for detail is paramount. You will need to be able to concurrently manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow existing business, and actively seek new business opportunities.
  • Develop timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements and manage your territory using CRM software.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within our own business or in our customers' operations.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across various disciplines.
  • Comply with and contribute to our Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring to the Team

  • Relevant skills and experience gained through internal or external sales, customer service, or account management.
  • Experience in packaging and/or manufacturing would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in B2B sales would be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management systems (CRM) and Microsoft products.
  • Autonomy with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a solution-focused approach.
  • Clear, personable communication skills with exceptional negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
