We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Technical Sales Consulting to join our Issuer Services team in Sydney, Australia (Hybrid working model).
In this role, you'll make a significant impact by:
- Developing strategic plans to manage and grow existing client relationships, focusing on revenue retention. You'll achieve organic growth goals and overall relationship profitability within assigned client portfolios.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of client account activity across the firm and serving as the ultimate escalation point for client satisfaction.
- Conducting regular check-ins with assigned clients to ensure their continued satisfaction and alignment with firm services/product offerings.
- Serving as a consultative expert to clients, advising C-Suite leaders on achieving short- and long-term strategic objectives.
- Sharing industry expertise, including trends, current impacts, and potential effects on client business models. Promoting firm services/product offerings to solve client challenges and drive account growth.
- Typically recommending product/service enhancements internally and directly to clients. May work with other Relationship Managers and/or marshal firm-wide resources to address client needs and inform clients of industry developments or firm thought leadership.
- Attending industry events and conferences to remain visible in the market and current on industry trends and competitor services/offerings. Representing BNY Mellon in industry events and forums, contributing thought leadership content as appropriate.
- If necessary, leading team implementation of firm-wide initiatives. Developing significant expertise on industry trends, competitor services/offerings, and client business environments. Serving as the primary client advocate and ultimate escalation point for client satisfaction.
- Ensuring client onboarding and/or risk management activities are conducted and captured (KYC, BAC, etc.). Serves as the interface for compliance, regulatory, reputational matters between clients and the Bank. In some regional/local markets, managing relationships with regulators directly.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking individuals with:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Relationship Management, Sales, Business Development, Consulting in the Financial Services industry; experience with buy-side clients (e.g., Investment Managers, Central Banks) and C-suite connectivity preferred.
- Demonstrated track records in exceeding sales or growth targets; cross-selling of solutions; knowledge of financial digital solutioning will be an asset.
- Significant expertise with buy-side industry trends, competitor services/offerings, and client business environments. Previous working experience with buy-side slides preferred.
- A minimum bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
