Job Title: Claims Administration Team Lead

Chubb Insurance Australia Limited is seeking a skilled Claims Administration Team Lead to join our team. As a Claims Administration Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of administrators working on claims processes, prioritizing tasks and workflow, and ensuring that new claims are registered within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and are coded correctly in the system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of administrators working on claims processes, including registration, documentation, payments, receivables, and other claims administration activities.
  • Prioritize tasks and workflow via claims mailboxes to ensure efficient processing of claims.
  • Ensure that the team is on top of the work assigned and that new claims are registered within agreed SLAs and are coded correctly in the system.
  • Manage external adjuster payment system process and workflow.
  • Process new registrations, payments, receivables, and other claims administration activities independently.
  • Clear claims bank accounts and receipt funds back to claims.
  • Train new starters and provide ongoing training requirements.
  • Provide claims operations reporting and feedback to the Head of Claims Operations about team and processes.
  • Continuously improve end-to-end admin processes.
  • Support the Claims team in annual and other external and internal audits.

Requirements:

  • Business acumen skills and understanding of the fundamental components of a claims department's operation and its associated data.
  • Team spirit, training, and leadership skills.
  • System/claims process technical knowledge.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Administration experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams and processes, preferably in the finance/insurance industry.
  • Proficient system user and process-oriented.
  • Process-driven mindset; ability to identify and flag risks.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
