Job Title: Key Account Manager I Automotive Industry


Job Summary: MARS Recruitment is partnering with an automotive aftermarket company seeking a Key Account Manager to drive sales growth through assigned key accounts.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and drive sales growth through key accounts selected in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Work closely with the internal and external sales teams, product team, National Sales Manager, senior management, and the warehouse manager to ensure strategic partners receive optimal service levels.
  • Develop and execute annual marketing activities for assigned customers to achieve the sales budget.
  • Act as a liaison between the product, inventory, marketing teams, and key customers to ensure product continuity and service.
  • Communicate strategy and direction to both internal and external state-based sales teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure awareness of product range decisions, catalog programs, and new merchandise initiatives.
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of the business's product and price files to ensure the product range and pricing are relevant in wholesale, trade, and retail markets.
  • Work with the product team to continuously review current product ranges and ensure distribution centers carry active products to support key customers.
  • Coordinate and attend support events, trade shows, and store openings nationally as required, working closely with state BDMs to provide effective support in the most cost-efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to conduct key data analysis and assess sales opportunities and financial performance.
  • Provide support for internal customers as if they were external clients.

Requirements:



  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong sales and promotional skills.
  • A solid understanding of business profit and loss, and the drivers of EBIT.
  • A strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket.

  • Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
