**Business Development Leader - Defence Sector**

Job Description:

Palladium seeks a seasoned business development leader to drive growth and strategy in the Asia Pacific region for our Defence capability. This senior leadership role will lead and maintain oversight of current and upcoming bids, aligning business development activities with our APAC Defence plan.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Defence industry, its partners, providers, and the Defence sector. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent project management and planning skills, possessing an extensive network within the Defence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Palladium's long-term strategy for business development and growth in the Defence sector.
  • Oversee the development and communication of market analysis and research insights that inform APAC's strategic growth targets in Defence.
  • Oversee business development initiatives within Defence to ensure priority bids are managed through structured capture plans that align with APAC's Defence strategy.
  • Identify and influence potential business opportunities over the mid to long-term and oversee the development of compelling value propositions for all of APAC's Defence bids.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions (EMEA) and the Americas to pursue new business within APAC from other sovereign government Defence agencies.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of bid development to ensure a consistent and sustainable approach for the business meeting client needs and revenue targets.
  • Build, nurture, and maintain broad and deep networks and long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, Defence Industry, Palladium Team Leaders, Regional Business Partners, Executive Officers, Managing Directors, Directors, and technical experts.
  • Formulate partnerships and collaborations with organisations and networks for strategic growth, representing Palladium through thought leadership at international meetings, ministry-level events, technical working groups, and internal technical teams.

The ideal candidate will possess best-in-class business development and stakeholder management skills, with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will have demonstrated influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, a proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
