About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Professional to join our team at Rps Incorporated. As a Senior Tax Advisor, you will play a key role in providing tax advisory services to our clients across Australia and the wider APAC region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tax compliance services, including preparation and review of corporate annual tax returns, and compliance with international tax issues.
  • Prepare and lodge tax returns, including withholding taxes and FBT returns, and review and lodge BAS returns.
  • Prepare tax reporting for both Group Finance and local finance teams, including tax effect accounting papers for external audit.
  • Identify and advise on Australian and international tax issues, and document technical research and positions adopted.
  • Oversee and prepare Tax Consolidated Group PAYGI Lodgements, and set up tax compliance requirements on projects that are awarded.
  • Support and implement global tax initiatives, and maintain and develop excellent tax technical knowledge to identify any issues and develop plans to manage these.
  • Assist the APAC Tax Director with regional and ATO tax reviews or audits, and be involved in the rollout of ATO tax risk management and governance guidelines.
Requirements
  • A professional qualification, such as a Master's in Taxation, CPA, CA, or CTA, with 5+ years of corporate tax experience in a multi-national environment.
  • A proven track record of success operating at a similar level within a global reputable company or large accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and exposure to international tax rules.
  • Good understanding of and experience with tax accounting for a global organisation.
  • Excellent project management skills and an ability to apply a pragmatic and efficient approach to handling complex assignments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail and accountability in analytical assessments.
  • Excellent people skills, including ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with all levels of management.
  • Self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
