**About the role**
The Coordinator, Peer Support is responsible for the coordination of Cancer Council Queensland’s Peer Support and Cancer Connect, and the delivery of these programs in Queensland regions outside of Cancer Council Queensland Hub locations in collaboration with the Senior Coordinator, Peer Support.
This role is a Permanent Full-time role of 37.5 hours/week based in the Brisbane office.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and sensitive professional who is self-motivated and highly organised, with well-developed communication skills and a strong commitment to providing cancer specific peer supports
**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**
**Essential Skills**:
- Qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health or Human Services.
- Relevant experience with volunteer program coordination in the health or community sector.
- Knowledge and experience in coordination of community programs.
- An ability to manage and expand existing networks along with identifying and establishing new networks.
- An understanding of the impact that the diagnosis and treatment of cancer has on individuals, their partners, and families.
- An interest in working closely with people affected by cancer.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse areas of the community.
- Self-motivated, energetic, outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent personal presentation.
- Proven ability to organise, manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Current Qld Drivers Licence.
