About the Role

This position is responsible for providing intake services, conducting comprehensive assessments, and responding to immediate needs for Aboriginal clients seeking support through the Orange Door Hub in the Outer East region. The successful candidate will provide short-term support and refer clients to relevant agencies for further assistance where necessary.

About You
  • Minimum degree qualification in Social Work (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy or significant lived experience relevant to the work.
  • Minimum two years' experience in the Family Violence sector.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA's vision and purpose, and the capacity to take a leadership role in championing these internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated experience in working and engaging with Aboriginal families and children.
  • Proven experience in child and family services and/or the family violence sector.
  • Completed MARAM training and proven experience of using MARAM.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in intake processes and comprehensive assessments to determine needs for clients and able to formulate interventions to respond to the needs.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Information sharing scheme (FVISS, CISS).
  • Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
