We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead our Sydney based client, a renowned organisation dedicated to supporting young people and youth services in NSW.

The primary purpose of this role is to create a society where young people are supported, engaged, valued, and have their rights realised.

This high-profile position requires a capable CEO with strong leadership skills, an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, build strong relationships with government, business, NGOs and community leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organisation to drive and maintain key relationships with NSW members, NGO networks, peak bodies and all levels of government.
  • Develop and lead the team in implementing the plans and priorities to achieve strategic directions set by the board.
  • Building organisational strategy, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability through good governance, impact and outcomes measurement, funding applications/resources, organisational systems and processes.

Achieving these goals requires a driven individual with a passion for creating positive change in the lives of young people across NSW. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, including as media spokesperson and presenter to large and small groups.

You will engage with a wide range of senior stakeholders as well as frontline youth workers and diverse groups of young people. A strong understanding of evidence-based practice and policy development or advocacy in the youth sector is essential.

As a leader, you will be comfortable in the media spotlight and public forums, driven by purpose and committed to making a real and tangible difference in the lives of young people across NSW.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary package, ranging from $180,000 to over $250,000 per annum, depending on experience.
