Leading Triple j's Content Direction

A career-defining opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Content Director to join the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's (ABC) triple j team. As the second-in-command, you will play a pivotal role in driving the creative direction of triple j's content strategy.
About the RoleAs Deputy Content Director, you will work closely with the Content Director to develop and oversee the implementation of triple j's content strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the sound and direction of music content across all triple j platforms;
- Developing interview placement strategies with internal and external stakeholders;
- Supervising music program staff, focusing on planning, editorial, and talent development;
- Managing weekly rosters and staff organisation;
- Scouting and developing diverse talent representing Australia's voices;
- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders for talent development;
- Coordinating live music requests and content flow to on-air scheduling;
- Organising special event broadcasts and music campaigns;
- Overseeing production elements for music programs and specials;
You will be responsible for shaping radio program sound and direction for an 18-24 year old audience, while also ensuring that triple j's content remains relevant, engaging, and at the forefront of the Australian music scene.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need to have extensive knowledge of music and music trends within Australia across a broad range of genres. You will also require strong leadership skills in guiding program makers to create diverse, youth-focused content.
In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess:

- Proven expertise in producing compelling cross-platform content with artists from emerging to international levels;
- Deep understanding of the Australian music landscape across multiple genres;
- Ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback to program makers at different experience levels;

- Strategic understanding of triple j's mission and young Australian media consumption;
- Proficiency in modern broadcast technologies and digital content creation;
