Desktop Support Specialist

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria (AU-VIC), Australia (AU). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and provide timely support for their desktop-related queries.
- Contribute to the End User Computing Team, offering expert support and guidance to end-users in a client environment.
- Work closely with operational and project objectives, with performance measured against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Critical Success Factors (CSFs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Resolve day-to-day incidents and fulfill requests aligned to the ITIL framework.
- Participate in Install, Move, Add, Change, and Decommission/Disposal (IMAC-D) activities for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment and peripherals as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with new and emerging technologies, guided by business requirements.
Requirements and Preferences:
- 1+ year of experience in computer software and hardware troubleshooting, with expertise in Windows operating systems as a Field Technician (Desktop or Deskside Support).
- Good understanding of the ITIL framework is a must.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow or Remedy is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English are essential.
- Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Travel, including overnight domestic trips, will be required.
