About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to join our senior Leadership Team to support, lead and manage our most valuable asset - our people.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for all aspects of our Human Resources operations, including workforce planning, Industrial Relations, Injury Management, external training and development, rostering and compliance with support from the directorate level People and Capability teams.

You will lead a team of five and report directly to the Executive Branch Manager. This pivotal role has responsibility for driving business outcomes through the effective management of our Human Resources operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Human Resources team to achieve business outcomes
  • Develop and implement Human Resources strategies to support business growth and development
  • Provide expert advice on Industrial Relations, Injury Management, and external training and development
  • Manage workforce planning, rostering, and compliance with support from the directorate level People and Capability teams
  • Drive business outcomes through the effective management of Human Resources operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Human Resources leadership and management
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations and employment law
  • Ability to develop and implement Human Resources strategies to support business growth and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
