About the Role

The Small Business Liaison Officer is a key new position within our Economic Development team, dedicated to supporting businesses across Manningham's smaller activity centres. Your primary focus will be on developing and nurturing long-term, sustainable relationships with the business community, where trust and respect are the foundation for building strong partnerships and achieving shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver marketing, promotion, and branding projects that facilitate the advancement of local businesses and activity centre identity.
  • Deliver a range of social media news and marketing initiatives to engage with the business community.
  • Manage external relationships with businesses to support their growth and capacity to deliver projects.
  • Be the 'go-to' person for the business community, providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements
  • Strong engagement skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders to enable the development of long-term sustainable partnerships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to a variety of audiences.
  • Skilled in delivery of social media and electronic communications.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service principles.
  • A positive mindset and a desire to make a difference through continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and work independently.
