Senior Payroll Specialist

Randstad is a leading provider of recruitment services, partnering with reputable organizations to fill key roles. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, tax filings, and payment distribution.
- Payroll Support: Support payroll requirements and ensure all adjustments, including changes to employee payroll data, are processed within agreed timelines.
- Payroll Analysis: Assist in preparing new pay rates and handling back payments due to variations, performance reviews, employee re-classifications, and relevant tax issues, including PAYG taxation rates.
- WorkCover Liaison: Liaise with the WorkCover Officer to calculate WorkCover pay entitlements.
- Payroll Reconciliation: Perform monthly preparation, processing, reconciliation, and disbursement of employee payroll deductions.
- Superannuation Payments: Contribute to the timely provision of monthly superannuation payments.
- Escalation Point: Serve as the escalation point for complex payroll matters.
- CHRIS21 Experience: Experience in CHRIS21 software
- Payroll Experience: 3-5 years payroll processing experience
- Industry Experience: Experience in local council or sector with multiple awards
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience in process improvement and driving operational efficiencies.
