Dynamic Food Technology Educator Wanted for St Francis Xavier College

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team at St Francis Xavier College. As a member of our Design and Technology faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements and promote student learning;
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop an inclusive and challenging curriculum that caters to individual learning needs;
- Maintain a stimulating learning environment by employing effective teaching strategies and leveraging technology to enhance student engagement;
- Communicate regularly with parents and provide timely feedback on student progress;
- Contribute to a culture of teaching and learning where professionals learn from each other and inquire into effective pedagogical practices;
- Engage in ongoing professional development relevant to the discipline and education sphere.
- Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program qualification or equivalent;
- Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration;
- Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation;
- Tertiary educational qualifications in Design & Technology;
- Ability to maximise student learning through high-quality teaching programs and effective pedagogical practices;
- Capacity to actively employ technology to assist in effective learning;
- Active and continuous professional learning relevant to their area of discipline.
