About the Role
The successful applicant will have a genuine love of Design and Technology and delight in the wonderful exploration of ideas in the classroom. As part of a vibrant team, the successful applicant will contribute both professionally and collegially to the team. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills will be important, as well as a commitment to enhance learning in all facets of the Design and Technology curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and executing well-planned, academically rich and innovative lessons;
- Developing a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs;
- Employing a variety of effective teaching strategies to successfully implement the curriculum;
- Working collaboratively in the Design and Technology team to develop an engaging and challenging curriculum with clear learning outcomes, provision for differentiated learning, shared curriculum documentation and consistent assessment strategies.

Salary and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is approximately $75,000 - $115,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive range of benefits and opportunities for career development are also available.
Requirements
- Tertiary educational qualifications in Design & Technology;
- Ability to maximise student learning through the delivery of high-quality teaching programs;
- Capacity to actively employ technology to assist in effective learning;
- Ability to implement cooperative learning strategies to increase engagement through student-centred learning.
Selection Criteria
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching programs;
- Strong understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
