This role is a key part of our success, providing critical training to ensure our personnel have the knowledge and skills required to operate track machines and road-rail vehicles safely and efficiently.
The main purpose of this role is to provide workplace training and assessment for Road-Rail Plant and Surfacing Operators within our national Rail business. The ideal candidate will have operator knowledge of track machines and/or road-rail vehicles, experience within a rail network or infrastructure, classroom facilitation experience, and hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing training packages in accordance with operational requirements
- Demonstrating Nationally Accredited training to John Holland personnel from the Transport and Logistics Training Package
- Training & Assessing personnel in Track Machines and/or Road-Rail Vehicles and other miscellaneous Rail & Civil Plant and Equipment
- Assisting curriculum designers in developing new material by acting as Subject Matter Experts and participating in the validation and piloting process
- Providing mentoring to John Holland field personnel
- Ensuring training and assessments are delivered in a way that provides a safety focus and risk analysis to ensure the safety of trainees and continuous improvement across Rail business sites
- Seeking innovating methods for delivering training and assessments in line with safety and operational requirements
To be successful in this role, you would ideally have:
- Operator knowledge of track machines and/or road-rail vehicles
- Experience within a Rail Network/Infrastructure
- Classroom facilitation experience
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary package with a base salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience
