Job Overview

The System Resilience Manager role is a leadership position responsible for delivering strategic planning analysis and technical advisory services to support the Victorian Declared Shared Network. The ideal candidate will ensure the power system remains secure, efficient and prepared for the transition to net zero emissions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Integrate network assets and system services into Victoria's Declared Shared Network, enhancing overall system performance and resilience.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance to inform strategic planning decisions and optimize power system operation.
  • Provide expert technical advice on the operational shift from thermal generation to high renewable penetration, ensuring a seamless transition to a sustainable energy future.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of seven, overseeing budget management, compliance, risk mitigation and workforce planning.
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships and deliver actionable plans that align with AEMO's strategic objectives.
Key Qualifications
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Significant industry experience in power system planning, with expertise in power system modelling, analysis and primary plant design.
