Job Opportunity Overview

Are you a results-driven leader looking to spearhead network planning and analysis for a secure and sustainable power system? We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to join our team in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical services to integrate network assets and system services, coordinating projects from Planning through to Delivery.
  • Oversee network and system performance monitoring, ensuring operational issues inform Network Planning to strengthen power system resilience.
  • Provide expert technical advice on the operational shift from thermal generation to high renewable penetration.
  • Build and empower a high-performing team of professionals, role modelling values such as collaboration and innovation.
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships and deliver agreed action plans that enhance engagement and support strategic goals.
  • Work with internal operations and planning teams, industry experts to deliver strategies and actions needed before major plant closures. Prepare the power system 2–3 years ahead of coal plant closures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Appropriate tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., engineering).
  • Experience & Knowledge: Significant industry experience in power system planning with strong knowledge of power system modelling, analysis, and primary plant design; proven track record leading geographically dispersed teams through transformation; project planning, reporting, and delivery; advanced consulting and communication skills; understanding of the political, legal, and regulatory environment of the energy sector.
