Job Description

The role of System Resilience Manager leads a team in delivering network planning analysis, insights, and technical advisory services for the Victorian Declared Shared Network. The team ensures the power system remains secure and prepared for the transition to net zero emissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate network assets and system services into Victoria's Declared Shared Network, coordinating projects from Planning through to Delivery.
  • Oversee network and system performance monitoring, ensuring operational issues inform Network Planning to strengthen power system resilience.
  • Provide expert technical advice on the operational shift from thermal generation to high renewable penetration.
  • Build and empower a high-performing team of seven, role modelling AEMO's values, and managing risk, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships and deliver agreed action plans that enhance engagement and support strategic goals.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in a field such as engineering.
  • Significant industry experience in power system planning with strong knowledge of power system modelling, analysis, and primary plant design.
  • A proven track record leading geographically dispersed teams through transformation.
