Job Role

The Site Reliability Engineer will be at the heart of ensuring system resilience and observability.

This role requires building systems and solutions that thrive under extreme pressure, collaborating with teams to extract rich telemetry data from their code, architecting and building highly distributed observability solutions, and developing tools that turn complex signals into actionable insights for stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex problems, architecting scalable systems, and being a key player in a high-stakes environment.

  • Architect, build, and maintain large-scale, distributed telemetry pipelines and observability platforms.
  • Design innovative solutions for telemetry challenges in our uniquely asynchronous ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimise instrumentation and reliability strategies.
  • Drive capacity planning and proactive performance optimisation.
  • Partner with teams to define service levels and error budgets.
  • Take ownership in production incidents, leading investigations and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Develop, refine, and automate reliability-focused tooling.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Deep expertise in site reliability engineering concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of observability and telemetry principles.
  • Experience with Linux system administration and network fundamentals.
  • Extensive experience with IaaS platforms and containerisation principles.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code principles.
