Job Description

KPMG's Insurance Claims and Workplace Health practice is seeking experienced Claims Consultants who are passionate about helping insurers and employers deliver better claims outcomes and customer experiences for injured individuals.

We support personal injury insurers and schemes, life insurers, general insurers, self-insurers, and employers in navigating complex business issues, driving change, and implementing solutions to enhance performance.

Your Opportunity

In this critical role, you will be instrumental in performing high-volume Claim Reviews across a three to six-month timeline. Our program of work is essential to improving outcomes on personal injury claims.

We are looking for suitable qualified applicants for a potential 12 to 24-month max-term contract (including 2 days per week based at the KPMG Office), where you will undertake claims management activities to achieve outcomes for the insurer and injured Victorians.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supporting various engagements as a Claims Consultant.
  2. Completing claim reviews to achieve client outcomes, applying principles of liability and claim management.
  3. Providing commentary on claims management to date that influences claims performance and customer experience.
  4. Delivering a high level of customer service within relevant service charters.
  5. Liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate treatment and services are being provided on claims.
  6. Utilizing a claims management system to effectively store information.

Experience

  1. Proven expertise in personal injury claims management.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation legislation and regulations or Victorian transport accident legislation.
  3. Demonstrated skills in achieving outcomes in a claims management environment.
  4. Exceptional customer service abilities, with a focus on improving customer experiences.
  5. Familiarity with conducting claim reviews for various claim cohorts.

Qualifications

  1. A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline, such as allied health, mental health, or occupational rehabilitation, is desirable but not required.
