Airline Accident Investigator

At Charles Taylor, we are seeking an experienced Aviation Surveyor to join our team as an Airline Accident Investigator. This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in aircraft maintenance and a keen eye for detail.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will lead investigations into complex aviation incidents from an insurance perspective, analyzing technical data, repair schemes, and claim quantum to negotiate settlements and deliver highly detailed reports to inform insurers of their liabilities.
This role offers an opportunity to work with top-tier insurance clients, utilizing your expertise to shape claim settlements and provide key insights. Key Responsibilities- Lead meticulous investigations of complex aviation incidents, drawing on substantial industry experience.
- Analyze aircraft technical data, repair schemes, and claim quantum to negotiate optimal claim settlements.
- Deliver highly detailed reports to clearly inform insurers of their liabilities.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven track record of experience as an international Aviation Surveyor.
- In-depth knowledge of the global Insurance market, with well-established industry network and relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and evaluate complex claims.
- Possess first-class English communication (written and verbal) with exceptional negotiation skills.
- Holder of a current UK CAA/EASA/CASA B1/B2 (or equivalent) aircraft maintenance engineer's license with at least 5 years of certifying experience.
- An estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
