The company is now looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Safety Officer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a pivotal role in managing and implementing comprehensive workplace health and safety strategies, ensuring the well-being of employees while contributing to the success of landmark projects.
About the RoleAs the Safety Officer, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety within the organisation. Reporting to the Safety Manager and Project Director, you will monitor site activities to identify and mitigate hazards, ensuring safe work practices are upheld. You will also develop and implement policies to enhance awareness of occupational health and safety, driving compliance and fostering a shared commitment to workplace well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on provisions to minimise safety risks and hazards
- Direct accident investigation procedures
- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Cert IV in OH&S/WHS
- Proven experience as a safety officer
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Diligent with an analytical mind
