About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Surveyor to join our team as a Claims Specialist. This role will involve investigating complex aviation incidents, analysing technical data, and negotiating claim settlements with insurers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead thorough investigations of aviation incidents, drawing on your industry expertise.
  • Analyse aircraft technical data, repair schemes, and claim quantum to inform settlement negotiations.
  • Negotiate claim settlements with insurers, leveraging your knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Draft detailed reports for insurers, clearly outlining their liabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build strong relationships and deliver results.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of experience as an international Aviation Surveyor.
  • In-depth knowledge of the global Insurance market, with established industry network and relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyse and evaluate complex claims.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with negotiation experience.
  • Holding a current UK CAA/EASA/CASA B1/B2 licence with at least 5 years of certifying experience in commercial airliners, business jets/helicopters, or general aviation aircraft.
  • Completion of an Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in an aircraft maintenance environment, with managerial experience beneficial.
  • Experience in aircraft structural repairs on large commercial, business, or general aviation aircraft, including helicopters.
  • Ability to travel frequently, often at short notice, and work autonomously within a team.
