**The opportunity**:
We are looking for an experienced Small Animal Technician (Research Assistant) to join our team

**Your responsibilities include**:
Performing animal husbandry and genotyping of mouse models of heart disease
Supporting functional assessment of cardiac function in small animals
Assisting in the preparation of samples for biochemical and histological analysis
Contributing to data generation for research and publications
Working to improve skills base in research productivity and methodology
Fostering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

**About you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in Science or related discipline
Extensive experience with small animal husbandry, administration of agents, tissue dissection is essential
Experience in assessment of cardiac function in mice is highly desired
Expertise in biochemical and histological assays (Western blots, qPCR, cryosectioning, histology, Immunolabelling) is highly regarded
Experience in molecular biology techniques will be viewed favourably
