**The Company**:
This Not For Profit promotes free choice and individual liberty, and defends cultural freedom and the open exchange of ideas. This NFP runs an extensive range of events range of events and are looking for a new Event Officer ensure the seamless delivery of events and productions.
**The Role**:
The Event Officer role reports directly to the Event Director. The primary purpose of this role will be to ensure the seamless delivery of our events and productions - from creation of event plans, coordinating contractors, event day delivery and administrative work.
Key Responsibilities include;
- You will run the logístical aspects of events and productions including developing event specific documents, coordinating bump-in activities and delivering on event days
- You will be a whizz online, monitoring and maintaining bookings in our event booking software and database to ensure accuracy of data
- You will oversee various contractors, scheduling them for events and productions. Then managing them on event days to ensure they overachieve
- You will always be working to ensure that events are delivered on time and within budget, guided by the Event Director
- Monitor, update and coordinate the distribution of event content through our online channels in conjunction with the Social Media Contractor
This sensational role will suit someone who has a desire to work in a Not For Profit organisation and wants to gain knowledge and experience in a corporate events environment. Someone with a flexible approach, willing to work with the ebbs and flows and planning events with short lead times.
- Proven experience in delivering events
- A calm and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- An impeccable eye for detail with strong analytical skills for problem solving
- Well-developed communication skills - both written and verbal to communicate effectively in person and online with key stakeholders and event patrons
- Experience managing stakeholders and contractors, preferably overseeing AV and F&B contractors
- Experience using Office365 including strong knowledge of excel as well as Salesforce
- General knowledge of AV - Lighting, Video, Sound, Livestreaming and/or post-production would be an advantage
- Current NSW RSA or first aid qualifications welcome, yet not essential
