- We are seeking an Events Officer to join our friendly and vibrant team
- Based at Sydney International Regatta Centre | NSW Government
- The role will be an 18 months temporary, full-time opportunity

The Office of Sport is the lead NSW Government agency for sport and active recreation.
With a vision of sport and active recreation creating healthier people, connecting communities and making a stronger NSW, we provide the people of NSW with the leadership, policies, programs, funding and infrastructure necessary to maximise the social, health and economic benefits realised through this valued sector.
Our work is spread across NSW, with ten Sport and Recreation Centres, five Olympic Sport Venues and offices throughout the state.
**About the role**
The Events Officer is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and operations of all events staged at the Olympic Sport Venue - Sydney International Regatta Centre, under the direction of the Events Coordinator.

- Strong organisational skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed understanding of planning and delivering events.
- Proven track record of managing competing priorities and good attention to detail.

**Essential Requirements**
- Current Class C Drivers licence
- Working With Children Check clearance
- National Criminal Records Check
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as required

**How to apply**

**Pre-screening questions**
- Give an example of where you have had to work with government or non-government stakeholders to plan and deliver an event. How did you manage conflicting priorities of stakeholders to ensure the success of the event.
- Give an example of where you have had to deal with a customer complaint. Explain the approach you took when dealing with the issues raised and how you reached a satisfactory outcome for the customer.
