The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Business Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the Director - Operational Coordination and Assistant Commissioner - State Operations.
**About the Business Unit**
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) leads emergency management in Victoria by maximising the
ability of the emergency management sector to work together and to strengthen the capacity of
communities to achieve our shared vision of safer and more resilient communities. EMV shares
responsibility with a range of agencies, organisations, and departments to ensure Victoria's emergency management system is sustainable, effective and community focused.
**About the Role**
The Business Support Officer will provide confidential administrative and project support to the to the Director - Operational Coordination and Assistant Commissioner - State Operations.
Some of your duties will include:
- Provide high quality, flexible and effective administrative and business support services for the Directors, including inbox, diary, and meeting management.
- Administrative tasks for daily operations including accounts and finance, document management, data and reporting, conference attendance and travel, preparation, and distribution of correspondence and detailed reports.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the EMV Business Support function to ensure that the Directors are well supported, informed, and briefed in a timely manner.
- Maintain document management systems including the creation of appropriate file structures in TRIM and the saving and processing of records in accordance with records management guidelines.
- Assist with the preparation of correspondence and reports such as briefing papers, discussion papers, stakeholder correspondence and a wide range of reports as directed.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in providing support and assistance to senior managers, ideally within a large complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and business support including financial records and processes.
**Qualifications**
- There are no mandatory qualifications; however, relevant experience in a similar role in a fast-paced dynamic environment would be an advantage.
