**About the Role**

**This is a Fixed Term Position until 1st November 2025**

Strategy and Precincts is responsible for providing policy direction, planning, and leading innovation for integrated simple, safe, connected journeys. Mobility and Insights is a division of Strategy and Precincts and is responsible for the delivery of better outcomes for users of the transport system through developing and coordinating customer and transport system insights, strategy, and innovation.

This role is responsible for the ensuring timetable data (including route and stop information) provided by Operators is updated in DTP’s databases. This requires liaison with DTP teams, external parties that support DTP’s systems and operators. The significant complexity of both Operator data and DTP systems is managed by this role ensuring high quality data is provided in tight timeframes.

- Continuous liaison with DTP teams, transport operators and external agencies to ensure accurate data is provided.
- Management of the data import/export process to ensure that high quality data is provided to DTP database and that timelines are met.
- The process of importing and exporting data is consistently evaluated to ensure efficient use of effort, maximization of the system capacity and opportunities for improvement.
- Issues that arise through the data import process are investigated and resolved ensuring optimum customer information is provided.
- Provides expert advice and guidance regard the continuous improvement of the import/export process. Provides expert advice to projects, or discreet pieces of work, to ensure that data import/export requirements are understood and considered.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Previous use of complex databases, manipulate electronic data and understand the output of different data formats.
- Ability to operate database interfaces for customized hardware.
- Knowledge of downstream use of data and ability to liaise with users and external parties to ensure correct usage and understanding.
- Able to problem solve complex data issues within tight timeframes.
- Ability to collaborate with team members, operators, and external system support to ensure timeframes are met.
- Understanding of public transport operations and how timetable, geospatial and scheduling data reflect operations would be desirable.
