**SC1 **Demonstrated knowledge of Disability Inclusion policies, processes and procedures as well as high level counselling experience to support adolescent wellbeing.

**SC2 **Relevant qualifications and experience in creating environments that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual wellbeing for all.

**SC3 **Demonstrated experience identifying and analysing additional needs of students, particularly those from priority cohorts.

**SC4** Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including families, carers and students.

**SC5 **Demonstrated experience leading high effective teams and capacity to collaboratively work as part of the wider school team and community and abide by the college and Department values.

**Role**:
This roles combines the organisation and therapeutic supports required for students with additional needs. It is a range 4 position as it combines management responsibilities with direct responsibility for provision of counselling support for students.

A Disability Inclusion Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating the team around the learner. Responsibilities may include:

- Be an advocate and champion for students with disability and additional needs and work with school staff to implement strategies for supporting the education of these students
- Play a key role in supporting students with disability and additional needs to make a smooth transition to school, ensuring there are effective arrangements in place for efficient transfer of information between services and schools (the transition from primary to secondary school is particularly important to ensure continuity of support for students with disability and additional needs)
- Prioritise resources and time to identify and consider the needs of students with disability and additional needs.
- Ensure each student with disability and additional needs has a quality IEP.
- Ensure the student has a voice in setting learning targets during the IEP process.
- Determine whether other students with disability and additional needs could benefit from an IEP.
- Collaborate with services working in the school to deliver adjustments to students.
- Ensure students with disability and additional needs have access to classroom supports and manage the classroom support staffing team.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and aspirations for the learning of students with disability or additional needs.
- Ensure the establishment of student support groups (SSGs) for all students who may benefit from a Disability Inclusion meeting.
- Work with the school leadership team to ensure our Disability Inclusion program is aligned to the School and Department policy and guidelines and maintain confidential and sensitive data on each student.
- Provide counselling and support to students with additional needs for wellbeing and emotional regulation as needed.
- Maintain records of all interventions including wellbeing support and counselling and maintain these confidential records in accordance with school and department policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the delivery of support services to students, teachers, parents and other school clients.
- Ensure all external providers deliver the required service.
