About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Officer the core responsibilities include:

  • Provide high level administrative support within the Office of the CEO including management of the CEO's diary to maximise strategic and efficient focus of time and commitment.
  • Manage written correspondence directed to the CEO, determine priority, appropriateness, and where necessary engage key staff in order for a timely response to be provided and correct processes adhered to.
  • Preparation of the weekly Executive team meeting agendas.
  • Act as the liaison between the Office of the CEO and Ministerial offices, state government departments and agencies.
  • Assist with the screening and processing of a broad range of confidential and sensitive enquiries and requests, and where appropriate follow up with relevant work area, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Participate as an active member of the Business Administration Network Group, the Shire's administrative network.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level, confidential administrative and support to an Executive and/or team.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Sound knowledge of processes, policies and procedures within local government is desirable.
