About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Contracts and Procurement the core responsibilities include:
- Ensure requisitions are compliant with Council's procurement policy, budget and authority limits
- Conversion of requisitions to purchase orders in a timely manner
- Maintain purchasing agreements, catalogues, and supplier records.
- Build strong working relationships with both key internal and external stakeholders
- Oversight of procurement helpdesk and outlook mailboxes to ensure efficiency and responsiveness to inquiries.
- Provide administrative support where required with a high level of attention to detail.

Purchasing Officer
About You
- Experience with Oracle procurement or similar product
- Demonstrated experience in Purchasing.
- Demonstrated administration experience with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage, and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work.
- Experience in MS Office products
- Experience in local government or other complex organisations is desirable but not essential.
