Job Title - Meals on Wheels Support Officer

  • Permanent Part Time (19 hours per week)
  • Band 4 $33.83 per hour
  • Based in the Rosebud Meals on Wheels Kitchen offering flexible working arrangements and generous leave provisions.

About the role


Working with the office team and assisting the Meals on Wheels Kitchen the Meals on Wheels Support Officer is an integral member of the Community Services team accountable for Meals on Wheels data entry and client liaison.

The role ensures that eligible residents receive meals relevant to their individual needs and undertakes a range of general administrative functions to ensure efficient and effective operation of the meals on wheels kitchen.


Core responsibilities include:

  • Accurate and timely data entry of client needs to ensure nutritional health and safety
  • Determining if services requested are within the scope of the CHSP guidelines, and working with clients, their families, service providers and staff where requests are outside of the scope
  • Identifying vulnerable and atrisk clients and, in consultation with the Assessment Coordinator, acting in line with unit policy and procedure.
  • Supporting the Meals on Wheel Kitchen as required.

Skills, experience, and other requirements

  • Experience in data entry and working with operating systems is required
  • Knowledge of and training in Food Safety is desirable
  • Experience in a human services environment, preferable in the aged and/or disability sector is desirable
  • Certificate III in HACC / Aged Care / Individual Support or a relevant discipline is desirable
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products and information management systems software, e.g. Care Link Plus, CI, Oracle, Objective
