About the Role
Reporting to the Manager - Infrastructure Services, the core responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership, direction, support and technical advice to the Asset Management Team
  • Ensure that the Shire meets all requirements and timeframes under the Local Government Act relating to asset management documentation.
  • Exploring new ideas and thinking laterally to identify and implement improved asset management processes
  • Overseeing the role out of a new software solution
  • Updating key policy and strategy documents

Position Description:

Team Leader - Asset Management**
About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in an Asset Management related field such as engineering, information technology, financial management, or geographic information systems, with an understanding of the local government environment
  • A thorough understanding of the lifecycle management that underpins good stewardship of infrastructure assets, including accounting and financial practices and ongoing operations of assets
  • A strong desire to see best practice asset management applied to a local government context to see the value of Shire infrastructure assets realised in service delivery to the community
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing asset performance assessments and strategic modelling of assets to identify long term asset renewal strategies
  • Experience in local government or other complex organisations is highly desirable
