About the role

As an Administration Officer working in the Carer Gateway program reporting to the Carer Coordinator, you will assist in the delivery of the program. The Administration Officer will be responsible for guiding carers through the intake process with empathy and professionalism, ensuring they understand and can access the full range of services selectability provide. While meeting monthly KPIs you will also complete carer registration assessments and planning activities, ensuring that each carer receives the personalised support they need. This is a block funded full time fixed term position.

This role will have a significant focus on facilitating care star conversations, managing intakes, registrations, and other administrative tasks essential to the smooth delivery of the program.

Main duties:

This varied role reports directly to the Carer Coordinator and is responsible for:

  • contributing to the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, and associated schedules
  • supporting the development, review and updating of internal documents ensuring they use consistent language, terminology, and references
  • supporting the development and adherence to document control processes
  • supporting the development of initiatives to maintain a workplace of continuous improvement

About you

  • possess clear and effective communication skills
  • demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
  • experience working in a team environment

  • exhibit dedication and reliability to their work

You will also need:

  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence
  • a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • a current yellow card exemption or a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit to access this free module). at completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to

About the offer

This is a full-time fixed term contract until 30 June 2025 (dependent on funding)
