About your new role:

The Administration Support Team Leader is responsible for leading, developing and managing a team of Design Support Officers (DSO's) in supporting Design Teams including Lines Design, Distribution Design, Transmission Design, Lighting Design, Substation Design, Civil Design, Design Mapping and the broader Design and Engineering group.

The DSO functions include, but are not limited to, Design project related support work such as Environmental and Cultural Heritage Searches, Third Party Approvals supports, Design Estimation administrative supports and construction project tender package preparation. Support scoping also includes non-project related administrative tasks.

You will play a critical role in the shaping the Design Support Team to suit design support needs, including development of administrative processes and procedures for an efficient and effective Design Support Model.

This evolving role will require you to be customer focused, flexible and a great leader who drives cultural change as the team introduces new services. Challenge the status quo, influence others, and strive for continuous improvement to deliver the right support model for your stakeholders.

There are opportunities across our offices in Brisbane, Townsville, Mackay, Cairns and Toowoomba.

With flexi-working and a 9- or 10-day fortnight in place, the bottom of the salary band from starts from $129,919 for 9 days and $146,811 for 10 days. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant's knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.

Degree qualification in Business, Business Administration, Management or related discipline and/or equivalent demonstrated relevant working experience. Proven ability in developing and leading a skilled and engaged team including success in meeting performance goals, embedding quality standards, and introducing innovation and performance improvements. Ability to influence others to turn a situation around with a wide range of senior management and stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. High level of communication, teamwork, interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
