Aboutthe role

This position plays a key role inproviding direct administrative support for the section and subjectmatter expertise in an administrative discipline and Undertakingsupervision, coaching, mentoring, and training of theadministration team to ensure appropriate and sufficient skills andknowledge are developed to be effective in providing businesssupport as an enabling and value-adding group. Workingcollaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of GrowingTownsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation withthe Townsville Community.

This position is accountable tothe General Manager Construction Maintenance and Operations andwill be focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsvillecommunity; growing and managing customer relationships, developinga culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability; andreshaping how we deliver services to maximise value. This role isresponsible for providing technical guidance and support to theAdministration Officers.

Aboutyou

Minimum of five years in an administration role, supporting a multi-disciplinary team with demonstrated expertise in an administrative, financial, legal or analytical discipline. Supervisory experience leading an administration team is highly desirable. Experience developing the skills and knowledge of others within a team environment. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Qualifications commensurate with Certificate IV in Business or similar competency. Current "C" class drivers' licence. Undertaking supervision, coaching, mentoring, and training of the administration team to ensure appropriate and sufficient skills and knowledge are developed to be effective in providing business support as an enabling and value-adding group. Proficiency in council products including but not limited to, ECM/CES/Marvel/Property and Rating (desirable).
