Aboutthe role

This positionwill deliver and outcomes-focused culture where staff rake personalaccountability for delivering on Council's vision and policy.This position will process and handle complex and large eventbookings / and other for use of community facilities and open spaceand implement actions to ensure that community venues and openspace facilities are managed in accordance with council policy andstrategic direction.

A VenuesOfficer will Coordinate arrangements including: the renewalapplication process, upholding yearly event contracts, issuinginvoices and damage deposits, and ensuring monies received arehandled appropriately. This role will determine and issuecomprehensive casual event contracts and following up on theappropriate event requirements, permits, licenses, approvals, andqualifications required for stakeholders for each event in openspace and community facility (before bump-in). You will be requiredto make decisions as to where events fit in the fee structure,advising of requirements, and following up with eventorganisers.

Aboutyou

Our idealapplicant will have the following key requirements:

Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience Diploma of Project Management – Desirable. Tertiary qualifications in Event Management – Desirable. Good understanding of all of council's community facilities and open spaces. Current Queensland "C" class driver's licence. Knowledge of event coordination and relevant administrative procedures. High level interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. High level of written and oral communication skills. People and resources management skills. Demonstrated supervisory and performance management skills. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products and event management software. Other responsibilities as reasonably directed.
