Aboutthe role

This position plays a key role inInfrastructure and Operations division and working collaborativelyacross Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and todeliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the TownsvilleCommunity. This position is accountable to the General ManagerEngineering and Asset Infrastructure Planning and will be focusedon the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community; growingand managing customer relationships, developing a culture ofcustomer-centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping howwe deliver services to maximize value.

Aboutyou

Our ideal applicant willhave:

Minimum Trade qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with the Asset Management Council Basic asset management skills in water and waste asset types including asset renewal and maintenance strategies, concepts, theories, techniques, and principles. Extensive knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems including Microsoft Office suite and Business Management Systems. Demonstrated experience in performing asset maintenance and renewal improvement programs. 2 years of working experience in a similar role. Current Queensland "C" class driver's license. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Council policy, procedures and practices, relevant legislations, codes, and guidelines relating to the Queensland Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards as well as industry codes of practice and other associated legislation and codes relevant to the position (preferred).
