Visitor Experience Officer

Work at the world-famous Penguin Parade

We are excited to offer:

  • Fixed term contract - until 30 April 2025
  • Multiple part time roles available with a minimum of 20 hours per fortnight.
  • 7-day roster (Monday to Sunday) & public holidays.
  • Scale 1 - $31.95 per hour inclusive of hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays

Job Requirement

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated high level of experience in customer service
  • Previous experience in visitor engagement, sales and service duties within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide high quality service, information and guidance to a diverse range of visitors including non English speaking visitors.
  • Experience in system use, point of sale, ticketing systems and cash handling and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proven ability to follow directions, de-escalate and resolve conflict and multi-task and prioritise in a diverse environment
  • Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills

Other Requirements:

  • Working with Children Check
  • Drivers’ License
  • First Aid Level II and CPR
