We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to insert in our HR Department.

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Payroll Processing:  Ensure that payroll is processed accurately on a fortnightly and monthly basis for approximately plus employees. Handle employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits. Managing the data entry, processing and checking of payroll information to ensure the employee pay records and all payroll related data held in the payroll system is accurate and maintained in accordance with policies and statutory requirements. Prepare and submit both monthly and annual payroll tax payments. Overseeing End of Year processing and reconciliation tasks, including the timely submission of Single Touch Payroll. Prepare and submit Annual and Monthly PAYG, Payroll tax, Workcover reconciliations and payments to the relevant states. Efficiently handling superannuation calculations and ensuring timely reconciliation and remittance of funds according to established deadlines. Process Termination and provide redundancy calculation as required. Coordinate with HR operations, Business partners to ensure proper handling of employee exits. Run reports and send them to relevant stakeholders. Address and resolve data inconsistencies, managing employee detail changes with appropriate process that aligns with compliance requirements. Employee Records Maintenance:  Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Conduct regular data audits and clean-ups to ensure data integrity. Other Administrative Tasks:  Address and resolve data inconsistencies, managing employee detail changes with appropriate process that aligns with compliance requirements.

About You

Diploma in Accounting Proven experience in managing full-cycle payroll processing Experience with any large-scale payroll systems such as MYOB PayGlobal, iChris, ADP etc At least to years’ experience in Payroll you will be an experienced and competent Payroll Officer who is able to work autonomously and take ownership of an end-to-end payroll function High proficiency using MS Office Suite Demonstrated understanding of reporting and review of data
