Hudson are seeking a Payroll Specialist to commence in Vic Gov space for up to 12 months

People Services (VPS) Branch is responsible for the provision of support and advice to the corporate workforce in the areas of payroll, staff administration and recruitment services.
Roles:
- 6-12 month assignment with VIC Government with potential for extension
- Salary banding 5 ($51 per hour)
- Triple vaccination required
- Working rights for length of assignment
- PayGlobal experience necessary
- Melbourne CBD location
**Duties**:
- Prepare Payroll information including salary disbursement, allowances, overpayment recovery, leave management for data input and assist with checking. Control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality, and data integrity within strict time frames, utilising PayGlobal.
- Provide a responsive, helpful and confidential client advisory service to internal and external customers and resolve difficult payroll related enquiries and problems as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, awards, tax, super, financial and accounting standards and other relevant legislative requirements through timely preparation and processing.
- Assist the PayGlobal Payroll Lead and Payroll Services Manager in the management of payroll related activities within the scope of your training and competence.
- Contribute to specialised projects, process improvement, Payroll reform activities and UAT.
- Conduct audits as required and assist in identifying Payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to mitigate risk and exposure to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and Payroll data integrity is maintained.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years end to end payroll experience Solid experience in HRIS (Pay Global preferred) High level of proficiency with MS Office
- Sound knowledge of key legislation including Fair Work Act 2009, Superannuation Guarantee Act and Workers Comp Act
