Your why 

The Banking & Enterprise Applications Manager ensures smooth operation and strategic growth of our applications. This role focuses on building relationships, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards of performance and security.

This role reports directly to the Head of IT Operations.

How you will spend your time 

As Banking & Enterprise Applications Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Continuous Improvement
    Lead initiatives to continuously optimise processes and adhere to best practices in system maintenance, support, and deployment, driving excellence in service delivery
  • System Support and Maintenance
    Ensure the operational efficiency of applications through comprehensive support, regular maintenance, and strategic updates and patching
  • Incident, Problem, and Change Management
    Oversee the resolution of incidents and problems while managing changes to minimise service impact and ensure continuous availability
  • Guidance on Environment Management
    Provide expert advice on optimising system environments for enhanced performance and reliability
  • Knowledge Management
    Develop and maintain detailed support documentation and enrich the knowledge base to facilitate swift issue resolution and learning
  • Vendor and Interface Management
    Build and maintain productive relationships with third-party providers and monitoring solutions to ensure seamless service integration and reliability
  • Technology Recovery and Business Continuity
    Create comprehensive recovery plans and contribute to business continuity strategies to minimise disruption and quickly restore services in disaster scenarios
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    Work with Risk & Compliance teams to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safeguarding business operations
  • Participation in Solution Design and Development
    Engage in the planning and development phases of solution creation, ensuring technological solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain the operational integrity of all banking and enterprise applications through proactive monitoring, ensuring high availability and performance

 
What you will bring 

Essential 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a high-performing team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of effectively engaging with technical teams, stakeholders, and external parties
  • Banking and Financial Services experience
  • Experience with CRM systems, Genesys Cloud, HCM, or Banking Systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and software development life cycles
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the financial industry
  • Relevant certifications (ITIL 4, COBIT, or CISM) preferred


Desirable 

  • Experience with Microsoft suite, Slack and Confluence (or other collaboration tools)
